There are several steps to creating your own templates. You will need to create three basic layers in Photoshop plus a few additional layers to create a vehicle wrap template. My detailed report will show you how to create them and how to get the most out of them!

First you will need to create the bottom layer to be the base. This is an actual photo of the vehicle. After you create your base photo you will work your way up adding new layers as you go.

Second you will need to add the graphic or middle layer.

Third you will need to create a cut out layer for your template. This layer has only the body of the vehicle that will be wrapped Everything else that won't be wrapped has been cut away or erased including the background.

Fourth I will show you how you create a life like drawing that includes the Wheels, Tires, Windows, Mirrors, Door Handles, and Bumpers. These are items that you don't want to wrap, but, that you do want to show on your finished drawing.

Fifth I will show you how to create a new layer to enhance the vehicle layer. These layers make up your basic vehicle wrap template.

I know this sounds simple, so why would you need my special report? Because the report goes into great detail on how these layers work together, and the secret is in the way all these layers are blended and put together. I will show you how to add additional layers and masks that allow the main layers to blend into “something special”. My report makes all the difference. 

Creating the layers and adding the blending and masking layers described in this report has remained something of a mystery in the vehicle wrap business and the information has been hidden and protected as if it was a pot of gold by the very few companies who make very good money creating templates for the sign and vehicle wrap businesses. There is a vehicle wrap template company that will sell you a set of pre-made photographic templates that can be used along with your version of Photoshop to create vehicle wrap templates (You may already know who I mean). However, the cost to get started with their system is about $1,000.00.  

“(They say Their Design System) can save you several hours of preparation on vehicle wraps (THAT'S TRUE). They say their innovative solution, for use with large format printing, is the only one of its kind (WELL, UNTIL NOW) and they say it offers the most accurate templates available. (Your templates will be just as acurate because you are creating them yourself.) Their templates start from actual vehicle photographs, not line drawings, and include proof-able window perforations. They say an entry-level graphic designer with basic Adobe Photoshop skills can design a full wrap in about an hour using their design templates with Photoshop. They say once you finish your design, simply flatten, rip and print!"

But, you still need Photoshop with their system!

You can learn to make the templates yourself and use them over and over again. Yes, it will take some time to learn my system, however, you will get a lot faster as you develop proficiency with the system. Their $999.00 product is a GREAT TOOL for some vehicle wrap templates, but, it is limited by the number of vehicles in their collection. All in all their product is a timesaver especially if your customer needs to see something fast.

Sure, they sell the idea that their product is convenient and will save you one or two hours of time in the design process, but at what financial cost? You will need to spend $900.00 (show special), to $1,000.00, for two or three hundred templates, most, you may never use! When I first saw their product demonstration at the ISA show in Las Vegas in April of 2005, I thought "What a great idea", then I found out that the $900.00 price tag was just the starting price. You still had to create or buy your own "Fills" and graphic designs. How about the additional outlay for “Bolt-Ons” *, what they call the  additional upgrades that cost $199.00 to $300.00 per issue?

* Bolt-ons (updates) for existing owners of a full version of (*** *** ****) are no longer free to customers who are not ******* Certified!

Why pay so much when you can create your own templates using the exact same process they use to create their templates? Plus, any template you build using my system belongs to you and can be used over and over again. Their templates basically consist of five or six Photoshop layers with the masks and blending modes applied. If you're swift with Photoshop (and you should be after studying my report) you can do it yourself in about 90 minutes starting with a photo of the actual vehicle you’re going to wrap!  (NOTE: You can spend over $1,000.00 for a system that will still take some time to learn or you can spend some time learning our process and save yourself about a Thousand Bucks!  You should be fairly proficient with our system after about 10 to 15 hours of actual practice.) You will create your templates from actual vehicle photgraphs and not from line drawings. Plus, you will own all the rights to any templates you create using my instructions! My report, however, is copyright 2009, by Gary Bach.
